I, Melissa Golden, am the sole copyright holder of this image. I licensed it to RLJ Companies for usage through 2015. Their license has expired and I do not give permission as sole copyright holder for this image to be in the commons. Please contact me at melissa@melissagolden.com if further documentation is required. 2602:306:CE44:C20:51AC:13F4:E84:F642 19:45, 29 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Oh that's just dandy. A permission statement was filed, including the language I acknowledge that I cannot withdraw this agreement, ...
They also stated in writing, that they are the creator and/or sole owner of the exclusive copyright of the attached photo.
I noticed that the original statement was signed by the "The RLJ Companies" and questioned whether they had the authority to do that, as there was an indication that Melissa Golden was the copyright holder. The response was that the company contracted with Melissa Golden, and agreed that the photo credit should remain with Melissa Golden.
This is all a perfectly routine set of circumstances. We are now told that the contract was not perpetual, but time limited, which means the original permission statement was flawed, as they were only the temporary owner of the rights, and were not in a position to provide a perpetual agreement.--Sphilbrick (talk) 14:21, 30 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
