Where is the evidence that this was published without a copyright notice? The eBay source is a loose headshot photo that does not indicate publication. If the photo has never been published, the license is wrong and the image is in copyright. czar 22:19, 5 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The seller's original listing (see ebay link) states that the photo came from the Theatre World publication's "archive, a large privately held, important archive of twentieth century American theatre and film production still photographs and other related theatre and film memorabilia." --Light show (talk) 23:09, 5 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: In order to keep it, you would have to prove that it was published without notice before 1989. Since notice could be elsewhere than directly on the photo (at the bottom of a poster or at the masthead of a magazine), the fact that there is no notice on the photo proves nothing. .     Jim . . . .
