The Newark Bay accident was in 1958. Unlikely that this is the user's own work without further explanation. Mackensen (talk) 11:17, 10 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Unlikely but definitely not impossible. If the photographer was 18 in 1958, they'd be 81 or 82 now. I agree that if it was really the uploader's own work, we would expect a bit of a narrative. But isn't there some way to do an image search and see if this photo can be found elsewhere on the web and thereby possibly settle the issue (if it's not a scan of a book, etc.)? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:01, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: The image appears in the New York Daily News of September 16, 1958 credited to one George Mattson. That might be our uploader, but if so, he must say so. .     Jim . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 21:40, 29 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
