I think this is some sort of barcode or something - not sure quite whether it would be eligible for copyright. -mattbuck (Talk) 11:02, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, it is a so called QR-code, a 2-dimensional bar-code that I created myself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tfursten (talk • contribs) 2011-05-25 11:09 (UTC)
- no opinion. I suspect that a graphic rendition of a QR-code is not eligible, but encoded content could be. What does it say? P.S. Commons:Project scope is silent about QR-codes. Personally, I don't think that QRs have any use on wikipedia, except for illustrating the concept itself. They seem harmless, but there's a potential for vandalism (links to goatse disguised as something else) and spam. NVO (talk) 12:13, 25 May 2011 (UTC) I asked these Qs at Commons talk:Project scope, perhaps they know better. NVO (talk) 12:20, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
- Info: According to http://zxing.org/w/decode.jspx, it says "http://www.langsheiligehuisjes.nl/nl/site/hellehonden". --Ilmari Karonen (talk) 12:36, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
- Incidentally, I'd consider this a procedural keep per COM:SCOPE#File in use in another Wikimedia project as long as the image is in use on nl:Sanne Terlouw. However, while I'm not particularly familiar with nl.wikipedia editorial standards, it seems plausible that it might shortly be removed by other editors there, in which case I'll change my vote to delete as lacking educational use. —Ilmari Karonen (talk) 13:17, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
Deleted: While I think we probably should have one or more examples of QR codes, links to commercial sites should not be among them. Jim . . . . Jameslwoodward (talk to me) 15:18, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
