Mrs Wallace changed the license from CC-BY to CC-BY-NC, see also Commons:Deletion requests/File:Decodon verticillatus.jpg rbrausse (talk) 12:24, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Keep. Creative commons licenses are not reversible. When the author realeased the image in CC-BY it will stay in CC-BY forever (or it will be public domain in the next century). I urge to undelete the Commons:Deletion_requests/File:Decodon_verticillatus.jpg also. --83.208.46.181 14:35, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
unfortunately we cannot prove the former license... (and yes, I tried archive.org :)) rbrausse (talk) 14:37, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Strong keep Thanks, that IP was me. How to provide a better evidence in the future? Is there necessary to prove a direct evidence for multiple images, that were 5 years on many Wikipedias? There IS an independent 2-person-process: three independent users uploaded 6 different images from same source made by the same author!

All affected images are:

I will cite from [1] "Two pieces of indirect evidence which both relate to the same incident, may mean that direct evidence is not required, this is known as evidential facts and they do not require corroboration."

a better evidence for the future would be a license review when uploading Bugwood network images - similar to the Flickr upload review process. See also my question at the village pump, so far no reply.
I'm as unhappy as you, but copyrights are imho too sensitive to ignore the current issue.
PS The other images by Mrs Wallace you mentioned are already filed as DRs.

I asked the author to rethink her license decision - let's see what happens... rbrausse (talk) 09:01, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: Unfortunately, we cannot check if there was a valid license and there neither was a license review A.Savin 01:00, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
