Speedy DR challenged: Map is currently in use, and it's claimed to be own work by uploader. Anyone can slap some color on a blank map of Peru, and so it is credibly a self-made work (initial upload says "own work") and not an unsourced Copyvio.

The other question is: Is the map accurate in its claims? Is every square inch of the "red" provincias filled with red angry protesters, or are whole provinces marked in red for just one noticable city protest? Questioning the methodology of the map needs to be done primarily in the es-WP. If it turns out that the map is BS fiction, or a much better map and more accurate appears, the deletion request should be granted after the image gets delinked in es-WP. @Enyavar No longer in use. Brianjd (talk) 11:47, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Comment It is now not in use because the same user that marked this file has having no source remove it from its article justifying as he claimed it does not have sources and the justification that it was nominated to deletion here /"mapa sin fuentes y que está bajo consulta de borrado en Commons" and that he would report anyone that readded this map ("Quien ponga de nuevo el mapa será reportado al tablón") and yet, right now, there is no discussion about this map in es:Discusión:Protestas en Perú de diciembre de 2022 or the deletion request of the article were this map was.
The map has a description in spanish that says this map is of peruvian provinces where there was protests this Dezember related with the last political crisis, but the question remains if this was accurate at provincial level at the time of upload and, if accurate, what were the criteria to mark some provinces. Was the ocurrence pf massive protests\disturbances\uprisings or a single demonstration was enough to mark a province as red? Tm (talk) 01:28, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Agree to the comment. "No source"/"Own research" is no reason to delete an obvious selfmade map, here on Commons. I'd say that we should delete IF the map is not in use AND there is a properly sourced replacement (sourced with a list of cities or another map). --Enyavar (talk) 08:58, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: no valid reason for deletion; si la mapa está mál, arréglala (if the map is bad, fix it). holly {chat} 17:14, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
