Derivative work, copyright of these book covers does not transfer to the photographer. — ξxplicit 19:37, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
- Help me out here, then - how does one end up with a usable free photo to illustrate paperback books? I pretty much randomly pulled books off my own bookshelf and photographed them as seen to illustrate Paperback on en.wiki, replacing a non-free image that someone lifted from a blog. If this does not work due to the covers, what would one recommend to end up with a usable picture? SchuminWeb (Talk) 23:20, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
- A paperback book that falls within the threshold of {{PD-ineligible}} would work, I think. — ξxplicit 01:59, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
Deleted. Or, you could take this image and use it on WP:EN with a fair use rationale. That would be even better if the one on top -- the one with the whole cover showing -- were PD-text. Jim . . . . Jameslwoodward (talk to me) 15:37, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
