{{PD-Croatia}}Palmina Piplović was killed during WW2 so the photo could not have been taken after 1949. The author is anonymous. The source is http://www.ratnakronikasplita.com/prilozi/heroji Imbehind (talk) 03:34, 5 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

 Keep Falls within PD-Croatia and PD-Yugoslavia. --Smooth O (talk) 18:09, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: It is unkown if this photo has been published and when. Therefore we should use the standard copyright rules from Yugoslavia, assuming the photo has been taken in Yugoslavia. Per Commons:Copyright_rules_by_territory/Yugoslavia. In this case the following is applicable to this photo “An anonymous work and it was published before 1971”. The copyright of Croatia is different, but on Commons:Copyright_rules_by_territory/Yugoslavia it is stated that “The successor states (such as Croatia, Ellywa) have passed their own copyright laws, but work originating in the former Yugoslavia that entered the public domain in Yugoslavia would be in the public domain in the successor states.” The author of this image is not known, at least, it is not listed on the source website mentioned on the file page. The source website contains a piece of text about this person written in 1974. Of course, it is not absolutely certain, but it is highly likely that this photo was published before 1974, e.g. before 1971. Based on this reasoning I concluded this image is in PD in Croatia so we can keep the image. --Elly (talk) 20:04, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
