Uploader request [1] and [2] , also see User talk:Johnj1995#Delete Abortion of "PANO_20160923_165000.jpg. Rationale given was, "I'm the author of this image and I wish to delete it." @Ahmed: Andy Dingley (talk) 15:01, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Note that there is no Freedom of Panorama in Saudi Arabia. Also see Category:Al-Kheder mosque. Andy Dingley (talk) 15:07, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Andy Dingley: Can we expedite the process of deletion? It has been more than a month. --Ahmed (talk) 08:02, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but one (of many) problems on Commons these days is a shortage of "active editors" (not just admins). There is little I, or most of us, can do to "expedite" stuff, there's just not a good route by which to do it. You would need to give a strong reason why this needs to be deleted.
It's possible that much of Category:Al-Kheder mosque ought to be deleted, because it's a problem for copyright to photograph new and distinctive buildings in Saudi Arabia. This is because of there being no Freedom of Panorama in Saudi Arabia. This image might come under that too, and you could help by telling us when it was rebuilt and (if possible) who the architect was.
A clear DR statement, based on Commons:Deletion policy will carry more weight and will be resolved more quickly
I would warn you that "I am the uploader" will not carry much weight, not past 6 years anyway. See Commons:Courtesy deletions. The reasons why are complicated, but take a look at Powelliphantapatrickensis2 / AN/U VoidseekerNZ and the horrible mess that can turn into. Andy Dingley (talk) 10:57, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • This can most likely be  Deleted per COM:FOP Saudi Arabia. Historical Google Earth images of the area around 26.5634°N, 50.0791°E show that the mosque was under construction in 2009 and a completely different building occupied the site in 2005. That is too recent for PD-Old (50 years post-mortem) even if the architect would have died the same year. --HyperGaruda (talk) 15:36, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Given no FoP in Saudi Arabia, and that this image seems to have been taken almost immediately after the constructing of the new 2016 façade, this seems to be a pretty clear-cut delete. - Jmabel ! talk 16:30, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
