is a jpg copy of File:Wappen Ibersheim.tif Gunnar (💬) 01:26, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Keep The file is in use on three pages on German Wikipedia (de:Worms-Ibersheim, de:Deutschordenskommende Ibersheim, and de:Ibersheim im Mittelalter. Also the TIFF is very different, having a cream background and a wide margin, where this has an off-white border and a narrow margin. --bjh21 (talk) 21:13, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

TIFF
@Bjh21: Did you see an information benefit in the JPEG ? If yes, which? As example both images at the right side. THe JPEG is a less good modification of the TIFF. It is not used anymore. I assume the JPEG file can be deleted soon. -- Gunnar (💬) 01:01, 18 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Delete At de:Wikipedia:WikiProjekt_Wappen#Ibersheim_"EntrĂŒmpelung" we are working on a "clean up" with the goal to have a original and a new-drawn vectorized version of each the Version of Fritz Kehr (this one) and the one of Richard Stumm. It is not hard to see, this JPG is an edited version of the TIFF, without borders and less "cream" colors. So I do not see why the JPG is "very different" to the TIFF.
So now with File:DEU Ibersheim COA 1958.svg there is no need to keep the JPG. Also files that are no photos, should not be saved/uploaded as JPG, should be a PNG. See: Template:BadJPEG. But well, there is the SVG now. So no need for a JPG with 1.66MB(!) that is just an edited version of the Original.
And it has been already been replaced at all your mentioned pages. So that is also no more an argument. FrÀnsmer (talk) 13:52, 19 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: No valid reason for deletion, we always keep at least one jpg/png for people who can't use svg for whatever reason. Upload a better jpg or better a png and delete jpg then. --Hedwig in Washington (mail?) 10:20, 6 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
