Copyvio, author is Brendan Finney, no permission visible, see https://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nico_Sauer&oldid=237691652 Mautpreller (talk) 09:16, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

What I don't get is how this thing can have a VRT ticket. It seems so obvious, even before the uploader admitted the copyvio after my question. --2003:C0:8F3D:5500:EC98:D121:A861:1401 17:52, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Seems to me that this should go to Commons:Volunteer Response Team/Noticeboard, not a DR. It is perfectly possible that the photographer granted a license that includes permission for the subject of the photo to be credited rather than the photographer himself. Only the VRT see the confidential correspondence, so only they would know. - Jmabel ! talk 20:58, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Doesn't it appear to be a selfie? ─ The Aafī (talk) 05:29, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Thedinosaurwhosseenitall: , can you explain why you uploaded the photo with author Nico Sauer per [1] in 2017 but added "2017 © Brendan Finney" to the photo per [2] in september 2023 . Ellywa (talk) 10:22, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In addition, I think Brendan Finney is a fictional character... perhaps some sort of joke/vandalism. Ellywa (talk) 10:30, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Emha: You processed ticket:2021020810002903. Do you have any insight into the above? holly {chat} 17:36, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
