This picture was uploaded before with different source and author with same/bigger resolution, it was deleted because of copyright violations author had said that it was his own work. Author hasn't added original source of this picture, added source is related to another book which is published in 2015. Mentioned source (2004) Journal of Genetics. Vol 83. P. 46 is not available and search results show that this picture belongs to the publication that was published in 2006. Ferakp (talk) 20:37, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
- Is this graphic somehow informative? If it is a representation of an idea stated in a journal, is it informative without a description of that idea? If it is informative and qualifies to be uploaded, then I think it should be. No matter how original the idea that it is representing, the representation itself has zero originality. There is not a more simpler representation than a connection of several words with lines. Would this not be the case under Indian law? Or UK law which Indian law may be based on? - Ferakp is in favour of deleting the graphic because he is not in line with the result of the study of Hatice Mergen et al. which is summed up under the file. There is no copyright violation, because of the simple fact that the graphic falls under the free right of representation of original content with secondary resources. Thats why I was wondered how the other file could have been deleted. This was clearly a violation of Wikipedia conditions. First it was tried to hide the fact that the result of that study clusters British and Turkic mtDna together into one genetic pool by manually vanishing the British component. Some people can't get with hard shocking genetic facts. --Nedbud (talk) 22:00, 30 December 2015 (UTC)
- And by the way the original 2004 source in a updated 2005 version https://www.researchgate.net/publication/8468167_Mergen_H_Oner_R_Oner_C_Mitochondrial_DNA_sequence_variation_in_the_Anatolian_Peninsula_Turkey_J_Genet_83_39-47 ... original link http://www.ias.ac.in/article/fulltext/jgen/083/01/0039-0048a --5.146.93.59 13:12, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks mr. ip, I fixed it.--Nedbud (talk) 15:56, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
Ferakp is probably the same person like Atotalstranger, this is a older request which was denied https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Deletion_requests/File:Neigbour-joining-tree-of-population-genetics.png --5.146.93.59 02:08, 1 January 2016 (UTC)

Kept: independently from the copyright status, this drawing is simple enough to be below COM:TOO and it is used. Wdwd (talk) 22:36, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
