- The image in question is taken from https://www.whitehouse.gov/administration/cabinet/ and cropped thereafter. This image has been authored by The White House. As a work prepared by the United States Federal Government, the media shall be in the public domain and is not copyrighted [1]. I understand that there may have been some copyrighted image of Ms. Neera Tanden, copyright of which was then transferred to The White House [2] for editing. The image was subsequently edited by The White House to publish the same on https://www.whitehouse.gov . The New image, thus created by The White House should qualify as a Work created by the US Government wikisource:United_States_Code/Title_17/Chapter_1/Sections_105_and_106. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CX Zoom (talk • contribs) 14:29, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

Kept: in PD per copyright notice on https://www.whitehouse.gov/copyright/ . I consider cropping not a creative act (in any case not a simple rectangular cropping). --Elly (talk) 10:05, 23 October 2021 (UTC)
