Map has Rome, Georgia, in the wrong place. File:MobileAlabamaCoosa3.png is correct. Spyder Monkey (talk) 23:05, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • May I suggest that next time you simply upload the new version over the old one (using the link at the bottom of the image page)? That way, you don't have to change the links on every project where the image appears.
Back to the DR:  Delete, it is inaccurate and unused (CheckUsage reports that it is in use, but really it's not), and we already have a drop-in replacement. --Tryphon (talk) 21:52, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • I made this map a long time ago. I'd argue for keeping it, but I see I did put Rome in the wrong place, and it has been fixed on a new edited map. So yes, makes sense to delete it. Also, while I don't care much about personal attribution, it might be nice for the new map, File:MobileAlabamaCoosa3.png to mention its being a correct version of one made by me. No biggie, but I'm vaguely proud of it, and still have the original GIS, Illustrator, and Photoshop files around in case more radical changes are ever needed. Sorry about Rome! Thanks for the fix. • I added your name to File:MobileAlabamaCoosa3.png (as is required by the GFDL license, so it is a big deal). I'm not so sure File:MobileAlabamaCoosa2.png should be deleted anymore, as it provides important information about attribution and the original work (it should be made clear that it is inaccurate though). And I would like to stress out that this kind of problems can be avoided by uploading minor modifications (like this one) directly over the old one (it takes care of attribution of the original author as well as the author of the modification, and automatically replaces all occurrences of the old map with the new one). --Tryphon (talk) 22:53, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
