This file was initially tagged by Mgf2081 as Speedy (speedy) and the most recent rationale was: This photograph is the property of Paramount Pictures and is copyrighted. No one has given permission for this photograph to be used and it should therefore be deleted.. No proof is given for that claim, needs discussion. The photo is used in multiple projects. - Keep What makes you think it is the property of Paramount Pictures? It's not part of any movie, it's a picture of the cinematographer with actresses walking behind him, so there no evidence it was taken by a Paramount employee. It was uploaded by Bjoern Kommerell, a professional photographer, who has a noticeable portfolio: http://bjoernkommerell.com/about/ ; if he says he took it, I'm inclined to believe him. --GRuban (talk) 15:29, 15 November 2017 (UTC)
- Meanwhile, User:Mgf2081 has just uploaded File:Michael Bay.jpg and File:Michael & Rebel.jpg which are both clearly marked Copyright Getty Images, and taken by two different photographers. Given that, I'm inclined to disbelieve most of what Mgf2081 writes on principle. Is there such a thing as a speedy close of a nomination for deletion on commons? --GRuban (talk) 15:35, 15 November 2017 (UTC)
- The picture is not of the cinematographer - it's a picture of Bay behind the camera, with three actresses walking behind him. It's from Transformers: Age of Extinction but there is no indication on any site (including IMDBpro) that Bjeorn worked on that project in any capacity - as a set photographer or otherwise. Also, the quality of the image is very poor, which leads me to believe it was taken from another source. A photographer ought to have a better quality picture, based on his portfolio you attached.
- So, first it's the property of Paramount Pictures. Then it's not professional quality? You contradict your reasons for deletion. Methinks you're just throwing mud and seeing what will stick.
- It's not perfect quality because it's not a posed photo, it's a casual photo. Presumably Kommerell happened to be around while filming was going on. That happens; it's happened to me, twice, and I'm not a Hollywood photographer, so presumably it happens to him a lot more. It was especially likely to happen since one of his clients is clearly Melanie Specht, whom he uploaded four other (posed!) photos of (see https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Bjoern_Kommerell) and who happens to be one of the three actresses walking in the background of that photo. But unlike me, who was stunned to see actual movie stars filming an actual movie where I could see it, he had the presence of mind to snap a photo, and since he is a pro, it turned out much better than any I'd have taken in the same case, so I at least am not going to cast aspersions on it. But presumably it was not so good to be worth sticking on his web site, where he has a couple of hundred photos that were perfectly posed, and of bigger name stars than Melanie Specht (she was in that movie, but not in a major role) so he thought why not give it to Wikipedia, which he did. --GRuban (talk) 02:07, 16 November 2017 (UTC)
Kept: no valid reason for deletion, apparent bad-faith nomination. --Guanaco (talk) 07:41, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
