This movie is still copyrighted in Japan and U.S., because its author is Kurosawa Akira, died in 1998. See also this Kkairri (talk) 14:55, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You are in error. The author of the movie in question is NOT Kurosawa, but Yasujiro Ozu, as the description clearly indicates. The film from which the still is taken is Late Spring, released in 1949, which is in the public domain in Japan. Please remove your deletion request immediately. Dylanexpert (talk)
