file comes from the lost gallery, where it has been published with a "all rights reserved" tag. As it is not an original ancient work of art depicting the named person but a modern photomontage made of several pieces (including a detail of Jost Haller's Saint George), PD-OLD cannot apply. It is pure 21th photoshp forgery, which creates a new copyirght, which is dellusive and should not be used to illustrate an article.

Unsourced image from longtime problem uploader. Eric talk 03:14, 1 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This and the above images are all anonymous modern depictions with no attribution, uploaded by an uncommunicative spammer who wastes our time here. Please see the uploader's talkpage: User_talk:Каволо. Eric talk 03:18, 1 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please see this explanation of the source of the "artwork" being uploaded by Каволо: User_talk:Majora/Archive_2#PD_ART. Eric talk 03:36, 1 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jim and Didym, if you have a minute, I'd be interested to see your take on the above series of uploads from our old friend Каволо, and on how the deletion nominations were handled. Please see the list in the archived discussion above, and the one directly above this post. Thanks in advance. Eric talk 16:30, 1 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Delete I agree that this image is a problem for the reasons stated -- a modern paste up, which this obviously is, has a new copyright and therefore caanot be kept on Commons without a free license from its creator. There is also qustion of whether such a paste up is in scope -- it may or may not be Marjorie Bruce -- I took only a quick look for an identification of the woman in the painting.

If you want to start a new DR with the other paintings above, I would support it. Please be sure to cite at least one work from which the works above were pasted up to clearly prove the point. .     Jim . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 21:49, 1 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Jim. I think I re-nominated all of the above images earlier today. I'll link the above talk archive post on the appropriate ones. Eric talk 22:42, 1 February 2020 (UTC)...[reply]
...Sorry, I think I missed something. Is the November IP editor's post (User_talk:Majora/Archive_2#PD_ART) sufficient evidence of the Marjorie Bruce image being a fabrication? Are you saying we should cite at least one work per image nomination, or is it enough to show that all the "Lost Gallery" images from this uploader are of the same ilk? All the above images save one, Blanca II de Navarra, provide no info other than the same bogus source link [:http://www.flickriver.com/photos/tags/plantagenets/interesting/]. The Blanca one just gives a blogspot link that likewise provides no info. Eric talk 23:46, 1 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
