Turns out photo was credited to Fyodor Kislov in 1940 newspaper - Газета «Красное знамя» № 148 (5911) от 29 июня 1940 года PlanespotterA320 (talk) 20:06, 4 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

PlanespotterA320, you are wrong. This photo is in public domain. The newspaper does not say "Fyodor Kislov", but "Fyodor Kislov (TASS)". According to the soviet decrees (п. 14 положения 1925 года, п. 14 положения 1935 года, п. 6 положения 1959 года, п.11 положения 1966 года), the original author of the TASS-photo is TASS as a legal entity. Accordingly, by the current law, a 1940 photo belonging to a legal entity (TASS) has already passed into the public domain. --Ctac (talk) 11:52, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@EugeneZelenko, Rubin16, and George Chernilevsky: could any of you, being very active admins who speak Russian, decide on this request? Thanks, Elly (talk) 21:39, 3 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I remember similar cases, authors (not organizations) were taken into account. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 22:36, 3 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I believe it is free per 6th point of {{PD-Russia-1996}} rubin16 (talk) 08:06, 4 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: per remarks, thanks. replaced licence on file page. --Elly (talk) 14:39, 4 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
