This file was initially tagged by Erick Soares3 as Copyvio (Copyvio) and the most recent rationale was: By the EXIF data, that's a GCTC, not NASA, photograph. Erick Soares3 ([[User talk:Erick Soares3|{{int:Talkpagelinktext
Andrey Shelepin is credited who is the photographer for GCTC (Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center). Converting to DR for discussion. Abzeronow (talk) 20:46, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
- Delete Going by the most recent and accessible "Media Usage Guidelines" by Roscosmos, the Space Agency bans commercial usage. I'm only wondering if the site will say the same thing if it ever returns... Erick Soares3 (talk) 17:29, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
- Comment @Abzeronow: I have just found out that the Roscosmos website is only available inside Russia. It would be great if someone locally or with a VPN could check if the Guidelines have been changed in any way. Erick Soares3 (talk) 21:00, 6 March 2024 (UTC)
- And the GCTC has "Все права защищены © ФГБУ "НИИ ЦПК имени Ю.А.Гагарина"" (All rights reserved © FGBU "Research Institute of the Gagarin CPC named after Y.A.Gagarin"). Erick Soares3 (talk) 22:40, 6 March 2024 (UTC)
- Ruslik says in VPC that Roscosmos guidelines have not changed Abzeronow (talk) 17:07, 8 March 2024 (UTC)

- Info I sent a request to NASA seeking clarification about the photo, I'll have to wait and see what they have to say. PascalHD (talk) 04:17, 7 March 2024 (UTC)
- Depending on what they have to say, more material may become available. But I'm not an optimist: their guidelines talk about that they use to post third-party materials and this page, long time ago, caused a deletion request arguing that the stuff would have been protected (but it seems that the Guidelines were recently updated). @PascalHD: , just to be sure, could you ask them what is their position about the modern NASA photographs at Wikicommons? Thanks, Erick Soares3 (talk) 11:08, 7 March 2024 (UTC)
- The past discussion: it wasn't about that page in specific, but it created a small discussion. Erick Soares3 (talk) 12:24, 7 March 2024 (UTC)
- It is interesting. When looking at the source it says credit belongs to NASA with only the EXIF providing another copyright holder. The page looks like any other NASA held image. PascalHD (talk) 19:18, 7 March 2024 (UTC)
