This file was initially tagged by Ronhjones as Copyvio (copyvio) and the most recent rationale was: not own work, copy of non-free logo from en-wiki en:File:Società Dante Alighieri logo.png. Simple text logo? Hystrix (talk) 11:27, 19 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Just a question: the problem is with the new better-quality version I uploaded few days ago or with this logo in general? I see that this file is here on Commons since 2011, but the nomination for deletion was made just few days after my upload. If the previous low-quality image is admissible for Commons, we can revert to it to keep this logo. --Neq00 (talk) 16:14, 19 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Comment As a new upload, it raises the image "above the parapet", so editors will review them. As it stands we have two users claiming to be the copyright holder. That cannot be correct - I suspect neither - copyright of most logos are owned by the company. Depending on the country, it might be {{PD-textlogo}}, but the top design is not a "simple shape". I see, thanks for the explanation. --Neq00 (talk) 11:18, 20 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think this is too simple to be copyrighted (COM:TOO), however, it might be too old to be copyrightable. Anyone know when this is from? --Jonatan Svensson Glad (talk) 20:48, 21 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
