This is a derivative of a copyrighted work (i.e. the mywikibiz logo). russavia (talk) 03:03, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Delete This file is eligible for speedy deletion, as a blatant copyvio. The main and only point of the image is the MyWikiBiz logo; as such, the image is not only a copyvio but also out of scope. It was kept on Meta-Wiki for a while only as part of an official process (WMF board elections) which one can't avoid being used as publicity tool. Now, it's useless and out of scope even on Meta and hence on all Wikimedia projects. --Nemo 06:17, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    • It isn't out of scope, and the photograph possesses educational value and can be used to illustrate articles on subjects deemed notable by the Wikipedia community. It shows viewers the relationship between Gregory Kohs and MyWikiBiz. enwiki possesses an "Gregory Kohs" article and a "MyWikiBiz" article. This photograph can be used to illustrate either or even both articles. It isn't out of scope. --Michaeldsuarez (talk) 12:51, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I've already addressed the points above including your usage link and I stand my point. --Nemo 17:11, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Keep Kohs uploaded it himself originally. It seems rather absurd to say that he violated copyright laws by uploading an image of himself in front of his company's logo.--The Devil's Advocate (talk) 17:27, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    • Even if we assumed he had the right to use the logo for his own company, there is no information about him having the right to relicense/sublicense it. --Nemo 21:01, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Keep as there;s no reason to believe that Kohs doesn't own his own stuff. And a big trout for this vindictive nomination. Mangoe (talk) 00:56, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    •  Comment I really wish these Wikipediocracy people would stop and think before they open their mouths. This is an issue of copyright and nothing more. If Kohs wants to licence his logo under a free licence (and is fine with all the implications of what come with that), then great, let him do COM:OTRS and I will withdraw this nomination. Until then, it's a potential copyright violation. Mangoe comments as you made do nothing for this project, but actually do show where the vindictiveness is. Please stop. russavia (talk) 07:39, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
      • For your information, Russavia, I happened across this in my scrape through the June deletion discussions. It drew my attention because you and various others have made such a big deal out of Wikipediocracy, and I knew it to be Kohs's site; thus I was not at all surprised by your brazen ill-will in picking this image out for deletion. Mangoe (talk) 10:38, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
While one might assume that Mr. Kohs owns the rights to the MyWikiBiz-logo, the file description page on mywikibiz.com[1] does not provide any copyright information, nor is the logo mentioned in mywikibiz.com's general copyright-terms page[2]. Therefore the request for a permission/confirmation to OTRS seems reasonable. --Túrelio (talk) 07:54, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, it's very reasonable. We just need to make sure that Kohs is aware of what granting a free licence means for derivative use of the logo as it appears in this image. russavia (talk) 08:06, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: Kohs owns Mywikibiz and he can do whatever he wants with it FASTILY 02:55, 4 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
