The image is the photograph of a bank note issued in the Philippines during the occupation by Japan in WWII. The author is obvious: the Japanese government, or more precisely, the Japanese Military Authority. As a consequence, the copyright status is also clear, {{PD-Japan-exempt}} applies as indicated on the image page. The photograph is the faithful reproduction of a pure 2D-object and does not constitute a copyrightable work by itself. Therefore we do not necessarily need to know the photographer.  Keep --Rotkraut (talk) 13:56, 6 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
