Clearly cropped from an episode of a game show and therefore not a free image. Straight up copyright violation TenPoundHammer (talk) 20:34, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It would appear this way, but this screenshot is from a clip that was uploaded onto the Game Show Network's (the copyright holders) official Vimeo channel under a free Creative Commons license.

On a surface level, it would appear this way, but if you dig deep into it, you'll see that the clip the screenshot in question was from is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported. Also, the channel that uploaded this clip is the official Vimeo channel of the publicity department of Game Show Network (the copyright holders). So they chose to license this clip under that license. Because of this, the copyright violation nomination should be lifted.

  • @Stinkyjaden: I don't see indication of that license at the linked Vimeo source: where is it indicated? - Jmabel ! talk 06:31, 8 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • @Jmabel: Under the title and to the right of the upload date, press "more" to pull up the "About" tab. Go to the fourth row where it says "License," and to the right of that should be the man in the circle indicating the specific CC license. Press that icon, and it will direct you to the stated license on the Creative Commons website.

Keep We can keep this -- as Stinkyjaden says, the Vimeo image has a CC-BY license. I have added the {{Licensereview}} template..     Jim . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 14:31, 8 January 2020 (UTC)  Keep Thanks, the above clarifies it. For what it's worth, when I upload something where the permission trail is subtle like this, I usually use the "permissions" property of {{Information}} to explain the situation, a practice I strongly recommend. - Jmabel ! talk 16:45, 8 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: A Creative Commons 3.0 licence could be verified. --De728631 (talk) 16:00, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
