Private patch design for the Inspiration4 space mission, no evidence that uploader has any right to release this under a free license. — Huntster (t @ c) 20:48, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
I purchased the patch and there is no evidence that the patch has been copyrighted. PLBechly (talk) 21:11, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
- PLBechly, your purchase of the patch does not give you any right to release something under a free license. A work of art, such as this, is presumed copyrighted upon creation until proven otherwise, not the other way around. — Huntster (t @ c) 21:29, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
- The design/patch is copyrighted by what was seen in here: "...Names, logos, taglines, icons and marks on the Properties are the exclusive property of Inspiration4, LLC or its affiliates..." Erick Soares3 (talk) 13:35, 20 October 2021 (UTC)
- Delete As this is obviously SpaceX's IP, not the uploader's.
- We really need to fix the upload process, such that GF people aren't misled into claiming "own work" on things like this which obviously aren't. Andy Dingley (talk) 16:04, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
- Agreed. It would at least help the issue, but of course a given subset are just going to click-click-click-upload without really paying attention to anything, and even then they're not acting maliciously. — Huntster (t @ c) 16:22, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
