This is likely not a work made by a US government employee at the NIH. The source page credits it to Judith Stoffer and has a CC-by-NC-sa licence which would be incompatible with Commons. The NIH frequently uses third-party works and credits the authors, and this seems to be one of them. De728631 (talk) 16:02, 30 March 2017 (UTC)
Delete I'm the original person that raised a question about this image, and I'm new to wikipedia, so I don't even know if I'm supposed to comment on this. However, I looked at some other deletion requests discussions and there are keep or delete comments, so I'll add my opinion. Not only is this image of questionable compatibility for the commons, but it also isn't very good. I'm working on improving the article that it was on, and wouldn't bother to include it in the revised version of the article. It isn't worth keeping, even if compatible, IMHO.
