Apparently COM:DW - A sculpture inside a a stadium - who is the sculptor (when did he die?), is this sculpture already outof copyright? Or does FOP apply? Saibo (Δ) 02:54, 21 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • comment: perhaps COM:Licensing needs an explicit mention of Puerto Rico: is it governed only by US IP laws, and nothing else, or maybe there's something special? NVO (talk) 07:51, 21 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • comment: I don't know what the IP of the previous editor NVO means, but I do know US copyright laws apply in Puerto Rico. Mercy11 (talk) 21:18, 22 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • comment: You have to pay to get into this stadium, where the bust was apparently located. Isn't that enough to keep the image (because it's in a public place rationale,,, sort of like taking and publishing a picture of the lincoln memorial being ok even though you didn't do the sculpture yourself). In any event, the bust was moved some 3 months ago from the inside of the "lobby" of the stadium to the front of the stadium, outside, where you don't even pay to get in. I know this to be a fact. Does that make it a keep. Mercy11 (talk) 04:29, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: There is no FOP exception for sculpture anywhere in the USA (which includes Puerto Rico)      Jim . . . . Jameslwoodward (talk to me) 11:24, 28 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
