Minuscule - no use, numerous better pics of same species MPF (talk) 17:12, 18 August 2020 (UTC)
- Keep - To my knowledge we don't delete images no matter how small they are, Whilst it is small there still could be a use for it. –Davey2010Talk 21:27, 18 August 2020 (UTC)
- Keep per above. Regards, Jeromi Mikhael (marhata) 00:04, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
- Comment - @Davey2010 and Jeromi Mikhael: I've frequently seen tiny images deleted for that reason - MPF (talk) 21:42, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
- I haven't .... ever!, The image is small however it's of good quality so as such I see no valid reason to delete it. –Davey2010Talk 23:35, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
- Comment - @Davey2010 and Jeromi Mikhael: just looked out some case histories: Commons:Deletion requests/File:ShortBillDowitcher23.jpg, Commons:Deletion requests/File:Solitarysandpiperusfs.jpg, Commons:Deletion requests/File:Seagull in Tacoma 1.JPG, Commons:Deletion requests/File:PineGrosbeak23.jpg, all of which were similar tiny photos and were deleted. I'm sure you could find plenty more! - MPF (talk) 22:55, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
- Without being disrespectful I don't really care, I have no idea what those images consisted of so shall not comment on them. Don't ping me again. –Davey2010Talk 23:37, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
- If I somehow managed to improve the image with an AI, does it mean that the image would still be kept? Regards, Jeromi Mikhael (marhata) 23:52, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
- Jeromi has very kindly enlarged the image which I've uploaded at File:Hooded Mergansers (5040112650) (enlarged).jpg as I personally see no issue with the small image, Having it as seperate files pleases both parties :), Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 00:12, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
- The version now is not artificially enlarged; a simple reverse image search should do the trick.... Regards, Jeromi Mikhael (marhata) 00:14, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
- Ah sorry, the cached versions here weren't updating themselves so your uploads and AI were both the same, Apologies, I'll have the other file renamed, It's 01:15am here and I need sleep!, Apologies for the mess up caused. –Davey2010Talk 00:16, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
- Done - fixed the mess created. Small (original) image at File:Hooded Mergansers (5040112650).jpg, Larger one at File:Hooded Mergansers (5040112650) (Original).jpg, Thanks. –Davey2010Talk 11:22, 24 September 2020 (UTC)

- @MPF: I don't want to be rude, but deletions like this are getting out of hand. Deleting an image because "it is too small"? Oh come on.... What would we see in the future if the standard resolution of camera is 80MP? Mass deletions? There's always toools to assist you. If you're in good faith, I believe that you should've use deletion as a last resort and try to find larger images. But if you're on the other side.......good luck. - Comment Keep - @Davey2010 and Jeromi Mikhael: - I actually did an image search in the hope of finding a larger version, but failed to find anything! Now that a larger version has been found, I'll upload it on top of the tiny one, and hereby withdraw the deletion nomination. Thanks for finding it! - MPF (talk) 00:31, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
- Well you very clearly didn't but okay, No need for the large one to be on the small one - they can remain seperate files. –Davey2010Talk 11:11, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
- Really....? If you do it then you should've mentioned it in the first place... The first response from you is you posting precedents for this case....Regards, Jeromi Mikhael (marhata) 03:24, 25 September 2020 (UTC)
- Just a comment that unless it's the only image of a particular subject, a 200px x 100px image, in which the subject occupies only the bottom half and is barely intelligible is not useful and I agree with nominating it here. Once a larger version of the same image has been found there's no reason at all to keep a scaled down duplicate. — Rhododendrites talk | 17:07, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
- Speedy keep Nominator withdrawn. --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 23:27, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
