Unless this plaque was placed before 1989, the text is still under copyright. 1989 is very unlikely because the plaque looks newish and unfaded. Therefore we cannot keep the image without a license from the writer. . Jim . . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 14:31, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
I have no way to verify when the plaque was placed and was unsure of copyright because none was obvious on the plaque. I agree that it should probably be deleted. Robert L Young (talk) 14:57, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
- The US rules are complicated, but the one causing the question here is that anything before 1989 had to have a copyright notice or be registered (that's not completely right, but will do for here). Anything after March 1, 1989 is under copyright without notice or registration. See File:PD-US table.svg for a summary of US law. . Jim . . . .
