Commons:Deletion requests/File:Harley Davidson Fat Boy 2018 FLFBS.jpg
This is listed for Speedy deletion but SHOULD NOT BE DELETED.
I am the author of this picture. I have posted it here on Commons, and also on Flickr.com and also on a forum where I used to be active (under the name "Nitot").
The speedy deletion bot is suspecting me of copyright violation because it thinks I have stolen my own picture in order to post it on Commons. This is crazy and a bit upsetting, I should say :-(
File on Flickr : https://www.flickr.com/photos/nitot/37398127332/in/album-72157687324835854/ File on the forum: http://www.passion-harley.net/t79996-essais-slim-107-et-fat-boy-114-stage-1-a-coignieres
Can someone please stop this nonsense?
Thanks,
--Tristan Nitot, Commons contributor since 2005, but very close to stop being so. :-( Nitot (talk) 17:19, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
- While your different accounts at Flickr, Commons and Passion-harley.net seem obvious to you, unfortunately we cannot verify your Wikimedia account when it comes to problems like this. It has happened too often in the past, that users at Commons pretended to be a certain user from another website while they were not, so we have some very strict policies for files that appear elsewhere with a different licence or no licence at all. Your upload at Flickr comes with a non-commercial licence which is not allowed at Commons, and the image at Passion-harley.net has no licence at all. This is why the speedy deletion request was technically totally legit. The fastest, and easiest way for you would now be to change the licence at Flickr to "Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 2.0 Generic" so we can see that this Wikimedia account is in fact operated by the same Tristan Nitot. Kept: User changed the licencing on flickr as suggested, which I looked at today, through the link given above. --Ellywa (talk) 22:51, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
