This file was initially tagged by Nikkimaria as no permission (No permission since 30 April 2023). The file is a scan of a newspaper entry that was published in Oklahoma during 1954, meaning that {{PD-US-not-renewed}} is possible if the copyright on the collective work was not renewed. Has anybody checked the renewal records on this? — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 00:59, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
- Keep Deletion requests should be reserved for when you have determined that there is no renewal, not for speculation that there may be no renewal. Anyone can look up renewals themselves, and Online Books, which we link to, has all the publications that have renewed, and the start date for renewed issues. If we do not have an entry for Online Books, for that publication, there were no renewals at all. If you do not understand the concepts or procedures, you should ask at the Village Pump, rather than dive into the speedy deletion process. The Oklahoman did not renew any individual articles, or any issues. Thank you to Red-tailed_hawk for spotting this incorrect speedy deletion. --RAN (talk) 01:19, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
- To clarify, I generally wouldn't open a deletion request myself to speculate on whether or not a source was renewed; my reasoning for opening this was to contest the speedy tag as being deficient. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 02:34, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
Kept: per RAN. --Abzeronow (talk) 18:47, 1 October 2023 (UTC)
