Though taken prior to 1946, this image fails PD-India as it was published on the following website on April 9, 2000, thereby effectively removing it from the public domain. Furthermore, the uploader cannot possibly be the author as he claims, because of the image's age.

- I suggest the nominator read the PD-India tag correctly. It states Anonymous works, photographs, cinematographic works, sound recordings, government works, and works of corporate authorship or of international organizations enter the public domain 60 years after the date on which they were first published, counted from the beginning of the following calendar year (ie. as of 2011, works published prior to 1 January 1951 are considered public domain)ImperiumCaelestis (talk) 23:46, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
- Unlike most countries, which determine the copyright from the death of the author, in India, for photographs, the copyright runs for sixty years from first publication. The link gives it's publication as April 4, 2000. Unless you can prove that the image was first published prior to 1951, or that the image was first published between 1951 and 2000 outside India, then the image should be deleted. - Keep PD-India. /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 20:25, 19 June 2011 (UTC)
Kept: Just because this is on a web site does not mean the web site is the first publishing. Insisting on proof of first publishing for every PD image would be a poor precedent. Wknight94 talk 02:44, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
