Commons:Deletion requests/File:GlobalTV (Indonesia).svg
This logo id:Berkas:Logo Global TV 2012.png is on Indonesian Wikipedia under fair use conditions of the United States. It's a TV station and no logo of the Government of Republic of Indonesia, so the Indonesian PD licence is wrong. There are other simple logos in Indonesian wiki with fair use licences. I suppose that they are all non-free in Indonesia, see also this deletion request. Bjarlin (talk) 20:40, 16 January 2016 (UTC)
The licence saying "This image shows a flag, a coat of arms, a seal or some other official insignia" also is wrong, this is no flag, no coat of arms, no seal or some other official insignia, it's just a logo of a TV station which are not official, but non-free. --Bjarlin (talk) 20:41, 16 January 2016 (UTC)
- Keep PD-textlogo. Fry1989 eh? 20:15, 21 January 2016 (UTC)
- For the United States, but not for Indonesia, otherwise it wouldn't be on that wiki with a fair use licence. --Bjarlin (talk) 00:17, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
- Just because an image is uploaded with a certain license does not always mean that license is true. Fry1989 eh? 00:48, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
- There is no TOO rule for Indonesia on COM:TOO. Thus, which indication do you have that logos like this might be free in Indonesia? See also this deletion request for another Indonesian logo which has been deleted in the meantime. Please provide a link to any Indonesian rule about TOO in that country. Just claiming that the licence would not be true, but without any indication for such a claim is not enough. It should be assumed that the licences are correct until there is any proof that this might not be the case, not the other way round. It's not the only simple logo there, but there are lots of simple logos in Indonesian and Tagalog Wikipedias which all have fair use logos (see other DR with other examples). So it's not an exception, but normal. And I haven't found simple logo which have free licences (maybe cases, where the uploader claimed own work for the logo). If it shall be a licence mistake, then there has to be any indication for such an assumption. It's always easy just to say, it might be wrong, but in the end everything might be correct. That it is fair use for Indonesian wiki like many other similar logos on that wiki and that there doesn't exist any TOO rule for Indonesia on Commons and no Indonesian PD licence, is doubt enough, that it should be deleted because of COM:PRP. It has to be proven that it might be free, but not the other way round. And it's not enough, if it's free in the United States. --Bjarlin (talk) 01:18, 22 January 2016 (UTC)

Kept: The logo mentioned in Commons:Deletion requests/File:Sbn-worldtv21.image.jpeg is far more complex. This should even qualify as PD-textlogo in countries with a really low TOO. --Natuur12 (talk) 20:57, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
