This work of art was created in 1986 and therefore is still under copyright. There is no evidence of permission from the artist. Also, a Google search turns up no evidence that the artist is notable, so it is probably out of scope as personal art.

Jim, the artist is dead, therefore there could be no permission from him. This specific work of art has been published under permission of copyright holders (owners). Artist is notable, as wikipedia [1] page may prove, with more than 40 expositions. Please restore gallery page. Thank you. The owners are almost certainly not the copyright holders -- copyrights are not transferred when paintings or other art works are sold. The copyrights almost certainly belong to the artist's heirs and in order to keep these, the heirs must provide a free license using the procedure at OTRS.

Jim, thank you, I have all necessary authorizations by the owners *and* the heirs. I just submitted a request to permissions-it@wikimedia.org. As soon as I get the ticker number I will publish it here.

Here are the links you may find Googling "Gianni Palminteri" (use quotes), and I am not going past page 2. Perhaps you should use the Italian language settings, since the artist is Italian and most pages are in that language.

  • The OTRS is ticket #2014102010020716. Google translate does not do a great job with this, so I may be missing something, but I see no evidence here that the heirs have consented to a general license as required by Commons. I see only references to past publications in specific places. In order to keep these images we will need an e-mail from at least one of the heirs, specifically saying that he or she is one of the heirs, and that all of the heirs consent to a CC-BY or other acceptable license.
Similarly, for the poem, all I see is

This is not a general license, but simply an authorization for one person to publish the poem.
I withdraw my concern about notability. I have not taken ownership of the OTRS ticket and it is possible that an Italian speaking colleague will reach a different conclusion, but my reading is that you will need to provide a better license for the paintings and the poem. Please note that OTRS has a significant backlog, so it may be several weeks before it is attended to in the ordinary queue..     Jim . . . .
