Derivative work of photo with unknown origin. Depicted person died in 1891 and the photo must be older, but Mexico demands 100 years from photographer's death and I am not sure, that this condition is fulfilled. Taivo (talk) 12:37, 27 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Every file in Commons must be free in two countries: in USA and in source country. This file is free in USA as pre-1923 photo. But what about source country Mexico? Template PD-old says, that 70 years from photographer's death has been passed and I agree with that. Unfortunately Mexico is not satisfied with that. Mexico demands 100 years from death and the photo is not enough old to assume that without evidence. Taivo (talk) 06:45, 29 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
