- Keep for historical reasons. It is not usual to delete old images. Raymond 16:43, 24 May 2015 (UTC)
- Comment – User:Philu86, I see the point that she changed her style and type and does not like the old image anymore. We might discuss if we need the image in the article or not. However as Raymond points out, the image is from 2007 and we try to document the world also in terms of history, so no need to delete the old image - imho it's far from defacing but shows the bundle of energy Gayle was then and still is. It's great to see changes over time, and if they are so positive and motivating, it's even better. So please consider cancelling the deletion request. --Elya (talk) 16:51, 24 May 2015 (UTC)
Per reactions. Basvb (talk) 23:58, 1 June 2015 (UTC)
The photo has been removed from the article successfully, at Gayle Tufts' own request. While I acknowledge statements made in previous discussion on how the article should reflect a person's history, I doubt it's the ethical choice to prioritize this over our empathy for a person who changed her body through hard work and would like to see this reflected in her online presence.
