there is no clear indication that this is indeed in the public domain, just that the image title claiming it was shot in 1907. No info on publication available, it appears on a website with no licensing information on it. John from Idegon (talk) 22:08, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
- The indication that it is in the public domain is my statement that it is. Other than blanket suspicion, what indicates to you that its license status is not as presented? Who exactly do you expect to appear out of nowhere to assert a copyright claim on a picture that has no identification of the photographer, of a building which is no longer in existence, and is in the collection of a 501(c)3 historical museum that makes no objection to its non-commercial reuse? I've been tinkering with the page most of the day, interacting with you directly...would it have killed you to ask me if I had any bona fides before slapping a deletion request on it? I'm trying to understand the reasoning behind why things are done the way they are here but that's rather difficult when you insist on making more work for us both.
- I say my assertion trumps your skepticism, which way does the policy fall in such matters over here? RogueScholar (talk) 22:49, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
Kept: PD-1923 + building not longer existing (thus, not copyrightable). Ruthven (msg) 11:55, 24 September 2018 (UTC)
