Commons:Deletion requests/File:Flame war on the SRB2 (Sonic Robo Blast 2) Message Board.png
This image in question includes an image illustrating a "flame war" within the context of SRB2 (Sonic Robo Blast 2, a Sonic game in the DOOM engine). However, the image lacks essential context regarding the subject matter of the flame war. Given that SRB2 is a relatively lesser-known subject, this image serves as a poor example for most readers trying to understand flame wars. The depiction of a flame war may be confusing or even meaningless to those not acquainted with SRB2, making it an ineffective choice for an illustrative example on a Wikipedia page.
It's crucial for Wikimedia Commons users to ensure that the content uploaded is relevant, well-explained, and pertinent to a broader audience. In this case, the image in question does not effectively represent the typical flame war scenario and is limited in its relevance due to the relatively obscure nature of SRB2. Please refrain from using Wikimedia Commons as a platform to promote personal drama or biases related to a specific, niche topic is imperative. Maintaining accuracy and relevancy in uploaded content is essential to uphold the educational and informative standards of Wikipedia. Kctobor (talk) 06:38, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hi!
- Sorry for the image. I am trying to represent what flame wars (in this case, gaming) would look like. I just missed a spot which would talk about the reusability (as the discussion was like reusability and the SRB2WS). However, please do note that it was the SRB2 Message Board and not the game itself. Appreciate the feedback, though! Pompom454cool (talk) 13:51, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for considering my feedback regarding the image representing a flame war in the context of the SRB2MB. While adding context is essential, it's important to consider the broader audience's understanding and relevance. Even with additional context, like I said, using an image related to SRB2 (The message board is for SRB2 and as such is related) for illustrating a flame war scenario might still pose challenges in effectively conveying the concept to a wider audience unfamiliar with this niche topic. Upload an example that everyone can understand. Kctobor (talk) 11:19, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
- Hello.
- Note that I didn't consider your feedback, but rather appreciated it. And also, not planning to fish a flame war from 4chan (underage). I also don't plan on going to Discord. And anyway, finding flame wars are harder than finding a bottle with a letter in it.
