The copyright to this flag belongs either to the city of Mesa, Arizona (whose website detailing the flag notes: © 2010 City of Mesa) or the designer Mary Jean Crider. Though User:Nameneko created this SVG version of the flag, it's a derivative work of a design for which she or he may not release the copyright to—as has been done here.
As a preventive measure: the flag certainly meets the threshold of originality, and was only designed in 2005.
It should also be noted that the colors used here do not match the same as presented on Mesa's webpage on the flag. ~ — pd_THOR | =/\= | 03:12, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
