Unsourced flag, and which is supposedly exactly same as File:Flag of County Limerick.png. There is a general issue that needs to be resolved. — billinghurst sDrewth 14:34, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
- Not sure what best practice would be here. The flag is correct according to this ref: [1] and indeed it's supposed to be exactly the same as File:Flag of County Limerick.png. It's also the same as File:Colours of Leinster Council.svg although obviously the physical file is different. Would it be better practice to create a new file which, despite having essentially the same content, will contain different meta data? Or is there some way of creating a redirect? I'm sure there must be other instances across Commons where flags are identical. Fattonyni (talk) 12:18, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
- Depends on whether we want distinct flags with distinct descriptions or you are wanting to minimise the number of similar files. To me, it would seem for this sort of matter, accuracy is as important. — billinghurst sDrewth 13:43, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
