The flag was launched in 1983 and is a work of the Canadian government. It is protected by Crown copyright (Canada) and does not expire until 2034. Please put this file in Category:Undelete in 2034. Fumikas Sagisavas (talk) 11:20, 12 February 2024 (UTC)
- The English Wikipedia article Flag of Calgary says that it was designed by Gwynneth Llewellyn and Yvonne Fritz, with no suggestion that it is protected by Crown copyright. Is there some other information you have to support that?
- That being said, even if not protected by Crown copyright, it would presumably be protected by the Llewellyn & Fritz ordinary copyright, and as such should not be hosted on Commons. It could be re-uploaded to the various Wikipedia that use it, though, and used under fair use. TJRC (talk) 20:27, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
