Possible copyright violation - tagged as public domain but appears to have metadata from File:Blank map of Europe (with disputed regions).svg which is CC-BY-SA. 0x9fff00 (talk) 14:41, 1 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@0x9fff00: It looks like base on File:Blank map of Europe (with disputed regions).svg. And this is not copyright violation because origin files is post under cc-by-sa 2.5. We can fix this license mistike but not request to delete. 轻语者 (talk) 14:51, 1 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Glentamara: You seem to have the same issue on File:European Union member states by head of state.svg and File:European Union member states by form of government.svg. Also, File:European Union member states by number of houses.svg is correctly marked as CC-BY-SA, however it’s also marked as GFDL which I’m not sure if it’s compatible and is also missing attribution. 0x9fff00 (talk) 15:16, 1 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@0x9fff00: You can fix it by yourself. @Glentamara: File:Europe-countries-outline-iso-coded-plain.svg post under cc-by-sa-2.5, so your file should post under cc-by-sa-2.5 too because origin author choose "ShareAlike". Now I fix it. 轻语者 (talk) 00:06, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@轻语者: Creative Commons licenses are compatible with later versions, so using CC-BY-SA-4.0 is fine even if the original was CC-BY-SA-2.5. See https://creativecommons.org/share-your-work/licensing-considerations/compatible-licenses. What you did (change to an earlier version, CC-BY-SA-4.0 to CC-BY-SA-2.5) would require the permission of Glentamara though since they hold a copyright on their changes, so I’ll change it back. 0x9fff00 (talk) 11:05, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Also, File:Europe-countries-outline-iso-coded-plain.svg is CC-BY-SA-3.0, not CC-BY-SA-2.5 (File:European Union member states by internal structure.svg was changed to be based on it instead of File:Blank map of Europe (with disputed regions).svg). 0x9fff00 (talk) 11:34, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
