Logo of some sort. Likely copyrighted. No reason given to suggest that uploader is copyright holder. FASTILY (TALK) 03:19, 26 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Keep This uploader has created other such symbols, and the edit history of at least one of them suggests strongly that he or she is the actual creator of the representation. Our general rule on heraldry says, briefly:

  1. Blazons, the written descriptions defining emblems, are not copyrightable.
  2. Particular representations of emblems may be copyrightable, but are not derivative works of the blazon.

Therefore, if we believe that the Uploader is the person who drew this particular image, it is a keep.

I recognize that this is inconsistent with our treatment of some logos -- all of us (including me) need to be more careful to distinguish between the upload of a copyrighted representation of an emblem and a new drawing of an emblem.      Jim . . . .  Delete it's not a completely own work from scratch, it's clearly derivative from the particular representation -- compare it with the original. I am sure that the uploader acted in good faith, but this is not enough. Other emblems by the uploader also should be deleted (in general). Trycatch (talk) 10:31, 20 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
