This doesn't appear to actually be Morrison. Other files of Morrison depict someone with substantially different facial features: it:File:Dolly's Vacation (1918) - 1.jpg, it:File:Erniemorrison.jpg, and it:File:Penrod (1922) - 2.jpg. The magazine only refers to the subject as "Sammy", with no context, so it's quite possible this was never intended to refer to Sunshine Sammy. Further, ticket:2017050410017658 contains information from someone who is a subject matter expert (identity unable to be verified, but I consider the claim credible) that calls into question who this actually is depicting. If this is not Sunshine Sammy and we don't know who it is, I don't think this fits COM:SCOPE. ~ Rob13Talk 01:02, 20 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Will leave it to experts regarding the proper identification. Photo in question is on this page of Movie Weekly, and another photo with a caption of "Sunshine Sammy" in that same publication same year is at page 23 of the May 6 issue for possible comparison. Would like to maintain photo for its value (if any) of depicting cultural depictions in 1922. Deanlaw (talk) 13:14, 20 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No objection to retaining for a more general picture on cultural depictions. The only issue is specifically saying this is Sunshine Sammy when it may not be. ~ Rob13Talk 16:54, 23 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: no valid reason for deletion: DR is not the proper place to resolve description doubts. --Ankry (talk) 07:22, 1 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
