There's no indication of free license in source. Fukumoto (talk) 06:09, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A bit more than a year ago for permission to upload File:Omotenashi-jaxa.jpg, I had received an email from a JAXA official that "From the science data rule of ISAS/JAXA, all public opened data are CC-BY-SA" but I am not provided with a webpage source stating that. Hmm, ISAS's data policy is available at https://www.isas.jaxa.jp/en/researchers/data-policy/ , which includes "Digitized documents, photos, pictures, videos, etc., which are created with the aim of long-term and universal use", although it excludes "personal notes or photos". Perhaps the photo can be considered former one, and linking to the ISAS data policy page may be sufficient.
ISAS's website policy is available at https://www.isas.jaxa.jp/en/imagepolicy/ , although it is limited to "Copyrighted Contents on this Site", which seems not covering about the X (twitter) content. --Fukumoto (talk) 10:01, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like the source is twitter, but I couldn't find the tweet so far. https://twitter.com/EQUULEUS_ja/status/1197067114495922176 is close but not identical. A link to the tweet will clarify that it is the project's official record. --Fukumoto (talk) 04:57, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
