File:EP Blvd 02 Memphis TN.jpg (file has been renamed)

[edit]

As a nom, I'm just going to mostly reuse the earlier deletion nom of Prostitutes in the street of Reeperbahn: Although it's perfectly possible that this woman is a sex worker, there is no evidence provided that she is one. Since the photo was taken recently, the woman in it is presumably alive - and likely to be identifiable, since it includes a full back shot and location data. I guess we could rename the photograph to not include prostitute in the name - but then it would be an out of scope personal photo with no likely educational use anyway. On any other project, describing particular living person as a prostitute without a RS stating such would not only be instantly removed, but probably suppressed. It's in violation of the Board's BLP resolution and of Commons:Photographs_of_identifiable_people and should thus be deleted. Since it was taken in the US in a public space, there is no issue with country specific consent laws. Kevin Gorman (talk) 21:38, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Delete This woman was obviously displeased with the photographer (waving her middle finger at him) and there is no evidence she is a prostitute. Just because it's legal do do something, doesn't mean it's OK. -Pete F (talk) 16:47, 16 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Delete Per nom and Pete above. Andreas JN466 19:12, 16 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Delete, per all of the above. SlimVirgin (talk) 20:37, 16 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: This requires immediate action due to the real risk of defamation. See Commons:IDENT#Examples. Rather than delete the file I have renamed it which should deal with the issue raised here. If it is no longer of educational use, it could be renominated for deletion on that basis. MichaelMaggs (talk) 21:17, 16 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
