This was previously deleted in a bulk request (Commons:Deletion requests/Files uploaded by Bn bt ec01), but I've restored it for a specific discussion. This image was initially uploaded with a self license by a sock puppeteer with a history of copyvios and false authorship claims. The license was subsequently appended with an unsubstantiated PD-heirs license, and then with a PD-India license. The image has no source whatsoever to corroborate licensing or provide date or authorship information. A reverse image search finds it only in wiki-style pages with either no sourcing or sourcing linking back to the Commons. Discussion (and sourcing) is needed.   • The image was from between 1915-20 for sure based on the age of the subjects, so that part is believable in this constant retagging by the uploader. It is quite likely a press photo taken during the Champaran visit, but I'm currently unable to find the source and/or author information. —SpacemanSpiff 10:57, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
