This picture is not in violation of copyright because I know the person who took the picture himself, and he is the one who gave it to me to use.

Aside from a very minor difference in resolution, the images are the same. You should just use the already existing file. Just reference that file like this:[[file:John Maalouf.jpg]]. This image you uploaded is simply redundant to the already existing image and should still be deleted as redundant. -- Whpq (talk) 20:40, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
