- To construct and display a Diwali Killa ( castle or fort) is a long established tradition amongst children in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The display commemorates Shivaji, the 17th century founder of an independent Maratha kingdom. Although this image has not been used, other images of Killa have been used on a page on Marathi people.Children use all kinds of materials to construct the killa. Here a child or children have used simple materials. the figures usually are sold in the Diwali markets before the festival and are made of clay.I believe this image is important for the culture of Marathi people, the majority in the state of Maharashtra. I recommend we keep the image. Thanks. Jonathansammy (talk) 20:55, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
