Unfortunately there is no freedom of panorama in France per Commons:Freedom of panorama#France and this 2012 statue is not old enough to be in the public domain. Ww2censor (talk) 11:37, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
- Acquiesce. From reading the WM Freedom of Panorama page linked above, it seems that France is among the most restrictive countries. A much-more-distant view—a true "panorama" that doesn't include the originality-bearing details of the statue—would pass the test. But I sadly acquiesce in Ww2censor's judgment concerning the present image. —RCraig09 (talk) 14:18, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
