Copyright status of the portrait on the left of this image unclear in source county; whole work would be covered by copyright in the US. LGA talkedits 23:16, 26 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The portrait in the left corner of an envelope is released by the state mail of Republic of Belarus under the free license {{PD-BY-exempt}} — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tatiana Matlina (talk • contribs) 09:49, 1 August 2014‎‎ (UTC).
Well how does that cover the portrait that is not part of the stamp in Belarus and what about the US, what makes this image free in the US ? LGA talkedits 21:55, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: Stamps are exempt from copyright, but there is no evidence that envelopes are. The artist was alive in 1979, so the work will be under copyright for a long time. .     Jim . . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 13:36, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
